Hi, I'm Donna Girling and this is my blog.

I love crafting and have tried all different forms of craft over the years, but I always come back to paper-crafting. I enjoy it, it relaxes me and I love the fact that from basic and simple items you can make things of beauty that people will cherish forever.

We all know how we feel when we get post (ok, maybe not the brown envelope post, but I'm talking happy mail) or receiving a handmade gift that has been tailored especially for you. It gives you such a warm feeling to think that someone has taken the time to think of you and send you something rather than typing a text message. It makes you feel special and cared for. That's what I try to do with all of my crafting, make the recipient feel that they are special, because they are!
I joined the Stampin' Up! family originally because I absolutely love their products. Every item is of an extremely high standard and I just love the range of items from stamps and ink pads, to ribbons and embellishments. I love the fact that you can buy complete kits with everything you need or just individual items. But once I had joined I realised that their ethos matches mine in so many ways. People matter! Be Kind! Have fun! Be a crafting family!

My other passions are my dog (Bear)

This boy is my entire world! He's playful, cuddly, mischievous and dumb and I love him to pieces.
He's generally sat right next to me, whatever I'm doing and 'assisting' whenever he can. He also, like me, has a paper fetish, but his extends to shredding any bit of paper I drop on the floor. Not always helpful!

Chickens.

I have volunteered for Fresh Start for Hens for a number of years now, helping to rehome ex-commercial egg laying hens. I also have my own hens and love all their unique little characters.

And last - but most definitely not least - is my family and friends.

So now you know a bit more about me.
I hope you enjoy browsing the site and enjoy the crafty things I make. I also hope it inspires and encourages you to have a go at making things for yourself. If you're a true beginner, try one of the kits, which has everything you need to make a handful of gorgeous cards.
Go on, give it a go, you won't regret it.
