Quilled floating teacup

 

I hve previously quilled a floating teacup and wanted to see if I could do it again. 

This is the end result.

It took many hours of quilling (and created lots of bits of ends of quilling paper all over the floor of my craft room) but I'm really pleased with the result.

My only problem now is - what do I do with the finished article? I love making these things but have nowhere to display them, so i either end up giving them away or putting them in a cupboard somewhere. Which is a bit of a shame after all the work that went into creating it.

 

Roses

I’ve been making roses out of paper. 

On Valentines Day I like to make a little something for the girls I work closely with, normally 4 or 5 people. 

This year I thought we all needed a bit of a boost so I made 30 paper roses to take into work and, hopefully, put a smile on the face of the recipients. 

I truly believe that if we all care a little bit we can make a difference. 🌹💕🌹

When making paper flowers you need a decent pair of scissors, some good quality glue and paper. That's pretty much all you need to start with, so not a huge layout if you're beginning your crafty journey.

25th Birthday

Tulip Birthday Card

 

I absolutely love the Flowering Tulips bundle and am going to bore everyone with the number of  things I have created using this set......and this is only the start!

The set consists of a stamp set and some matching dies, which can all be brought together (at a special rate) or individually. PLUS there is another complimentary stamp and die set that just matches so well with it. Add the matching designer series paper (DSP) and I'm in heaven.

This card was made using the die set only. I love the way it creates such a 3d, lifelike image for the flowers.

 Father's Day Card

Last Father's Day I was asked to make a card for a special father. After chatting with the lady who had requested the card this was what I came up with.

Both the lady and the special father were really pleased with the card.

The trees were made using the Beautiful Trees die set which I have used sooooo much. To be honest, I brought the set because I wanted to make one particular card with it, and I didn't think I would ever use it again. How wrong I was. I've used this so many times. It makes a fab background in so many cards, but also a beautiful card by itself.
